Brian Brennan lives in Austintown, Ohio and was employed at Youngstown State University as a part-time library student assistant from 1982 to 1984. Since 1985, he has been on staff at Maag Library full-time. Having started in Reference and Interlibrary Loan services, he is presently an archivist in the Archives & Special Collections department, where his chief duties involve the preservation of documents, photographs and other items relating to the university’s past. Brennan currently writes a historical column for Youngstown State University's newspaper, The Jambar. In addition, Brennan taught history at YSU for eighteen years as an adjunct faculty member. He was awarded a Bachelor of Arts from Youngstown State in 1984 and a Master of Arts (also from YSU) in 1988. When not engaged in archival work, Brennan can be found with his nose in a history book or playtesting a new wargame over lunch at Inner Circle Pizza. He is also very fond of the poetry of Carl Sandburg and W. B. Yeats.
