Dean search continues

The search committee for Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences has expanded the list of finalists to four names, two of them Youngstown State University faculty members. Tod Porter, chairman of the department of economics and Jim Mike, associate dean of Arts and Sciences, were named as additional final candidates for the position.

Students pack campus for English Festival

Conversation among students made a light buzz as they diligently worked on the crosswords and word scrambles spread out on the table before them. This was not a typical day in high school - it was part of Youngstown State University's 27th Annual English Festival.

Earth Day keeps patrons informed

College students and professors mixed with high school students and teachers in front of Kilcawley Center yesterday as they celebrated Earth Day at Youngstown State University. The Youngstown Environmental Studies Society organized the Earth Day event to encourage people to take care of the earth and to appreciate what it has to offer.
